This Thanksgiving im reflecting on something I don't express enough gratitude for.
She shows up for me every single day, when I don't treat her in anyway she deserves. I often fuel her with junk & neglect, tell her lies & hurt her feelings. Yet she continues to function greatly & love me unconditionally. I criticize her every flaw & throw harsh words no one should ever hear in her face. Tell me why she still continues to carry me forward, helping me reach goals and achieve dreams.
Despite all the disrespect I've shown to her, she never stops doing better for me.
I admit, I've been awful to her and need to show her more appreciation. I need to remind myself - and anyone who needs to hear this.
But we need to be thankful for our bodies, who deserve kindness, not criticism. When you talk with your bestie & feel good after. It's because of the positive energy you feed each other.
Imagine if we started doing that for ourselves?
This year I'm being thankful for my body and all she does for me. Our bodies work hard for us even when we show them nothing but disrespect & neglect.
Lets be gentler with ourselves & grateful for what we have. Let's love the skin we are in now, so we can love it years to come.
